FRIDAY provides a solution to prevent companies from selling your location history by leveraging users' Right To Opt Out, as granted by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Under CCPA, users have the authority to designate an Authorized Agent to exercise their rights, a role that FRIDAY fulfills.

Companies engage in the trade of location data through users' mobile advertising IDs, which are not directly accessible via typical settings but require app extraction. FRIDAY's application retrieves this mobile advertising ID to inform data brokers selling it that they are obligated to cease this practice if in possession of the data. Furthermore, FRIDAY maintains a record of all interactions and submits reports to regulatory bodies to ensure accountability among data brokers.

FRIDAY's app is, and will remain, completely free of charge. There are no upsells, trials, or premium services offered. While upcoming revenue-focused services may be developed, the core belief remains that privacy and dignity should not come at a cost. As data collection occurs without consent, FRIDAY strives to empower users by reinstating their control over their personal information.
